This time, our challenge is hosted by my team mate Elaine, and here theme is 'Flourishing'. So, include some flourishes on your project, but other than that, the theme can be whatever you wish.
Our sponsor this time is:
See the challenge blog for more details.
I was lucky enough to work with a pretty image from our sponsor called Daisy Fairy.
I chose the image because of the 'flourish-esque' effect of her pretty wings, and cut the image using a fancy Sizzix die. I coloured with Promarkers and used a little Distress Ink around the edge. The paper is from a CD called Flower Power which I bought some years ago and which has proved very useful. I finished the card with a couple of Sizzix flourishes and some daisies made from Susan's Garden die cuts and finished with a liquid pearl.
I hope you can join us this time.
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:
A Creative Romance where they want 'girly creations',
The Alphabet Challenge where they ant hand-made embellishments,
I Love Promarkers where anything goes,
Craftitude where they want us to 'use a die',
Polkadoodles where they want 'things with wings'
Sister Act where anything goes,
Stamping with the Dragon where they want flowers,
Sweet Pea Stampers where they want 'things with wings',
Crafty Girls where anything goes,
Hanna and Friends where they want die cuts.

Hope you can join us this week.

One Stitch at a Time Challenge 213
This week at One Stitch at a Time, we want you to keep it simple. Other than that, any theme is fine!
Our sponsor this week is:
This week, I got to work with a sweet set of images from BBCakes called Babybug.
Now, I got a little carried away with this, because I made my card, and then went to post it on the DT blog and realised I'd forgotten that I was supposed to 'keep it simple'. So, I've got two cards to show you!
First, the one that actually follows the challenge!
I combined several of the image in the set - Babybug herself as well as two sets of flowers, the snail, dragonfly and the ladybird. (Can you spot the ladybird? It's so tiny it's almost invisible!). I coloured the combined image with Promarkers, adding some texture to the grass. I cut the image and mat using a Spellbinders die, and used some paper from a pad I've had for ages called 'Picnic in the Park'. I finished the card with a felt embellishment I bought ages ago from the Pound shop!
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:
LCI where anthing goes,
Feeling Crafty where they want 'one for the girls',
Kreativeinkauf where the theme is 'In my Garden',
Sarah Hurley where anything goes,
Bastel-traum where the theme is 'summer',
Crafty Girls where anything goes,
Crafty Little Fairies where the theme is 'in the garden',
Suzie B's where they want clean and simple.
And this is the second card:
So, it's the same image combination, again coloured with Promarkers, although I kept to more pastel shades. The paper is from a Me to You pad, and I cut the image and mat using dies from Spellbinders. The butterflies are alnso Spellbinder dies, and I've used a combination of normal card and Craft Creations Sparkle paper. The dragonfly is made using a Sizzix die and a similar combination of card and paper. I finished with some liquid pearls on the dragonfly, Babybug's antennae and the butterflies.
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Passion for Promarkers where the theme is: 'No Sentiment',
Country View Crafts where the theme is 'nature's glories' (hope my butterflies and dragonfly count),
Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge where anything goes,
Flat Friends where they want die cuts,
Tiny Fairy Tales where the theme is 'butterflies',
Sister Act where anything goes,
Craftitude where it's 'die-licious',
Delightful Challenges where the theme is 'Hello, Sunshine',
Crafting at the Weekend where anything goes,
Di's Digis where they want us to 'use those markers'.
I hope you can join us this week.

One Stitch at a Time Challenge 212
This week at One Stitch at a Time, the challenge is to use a digi. That's it! So why not make it a digi from the Stitchy Bear shop, and you'll be in for a chance of winning the top prize too!
We're sponsored by
This week, the image is from Hope Jacare, and it was chosen by my team-mate Jeanette. It seems to be a while since I last worked with a Hope Jacare image, and I love her slightly quirky, swirly style, so I had fun with this one.
The first thing I've got to say is that I've made a rectangular card! (Yes, squares are rectangles too, but you know what I mean.) I don't know how long it is since I did something that wasn't square, but this image just seemed to lend itself to a 5 by 7. I coloured with Promarkers, and edged with Distress Ink in Tattered Rose with a little Spun Sugar to make it slightly less peachy. The background paper is by Paper Pizazz, and the die is one of my recent purchases in the Sizzix sale. For something as lacy as this, it cuts quite easily, although the middle is solid and that might have something to do with that. I do like the result - it's lacy without being too frilly, which makes it ideal for my husband for his birthday.
I hope you can join us this week.
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Crafty Sentiments where anything goes,
Crafting 4 Everybody where anything goes
Scrappers Delights where anything goes,
A Creative Romance where they want 'one for the boys' (it's for my husband),
Fairytale Challenge where they want owls,
Left of Centre where they want a card for a male (it's for my husband),
Sister Act where anything goes,
Crafty Girls where anything goes,
ABC where K is for 'Keep it Simple',
Crafts Galore Encore where anything goes.

I've Been Visiting Sweet Pea Stamps
I recently heard that Sweet Pea Stamps were doing a 30% reduction on everything, including digis, so I went to have a look. I've bought a few of their rubber stamps before (via Crafts and Me) and I love the style of some of their artists. I ended up buying quite a few ... So far, I've only coloured up a couple, and here are the results:
This is one of two images I bought from the range of Conie Fong. Despite its very oriental appearance, I decided to colour her as a blonde. No idea why, it just seemed like a good idea at the time! I teamed her with some Kate Knight paper, and coloured her with Promarkers. I finished with a floral arrangement where the flowers were hand made using die cuts from Sizzix, Memory Box, and Crealies.
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Moving Along with the Times where the theme is 'pretty pastels',
C.R.A.F.T where they want us to make our own embellishment (lots of flowers),
Creative Knockouts where the theme is 'flowers galore',
Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge where they want pastel colours,
Scrappers Delights where they want pastel colours,
Creative Card Crew where they want 'girly',
The second one is rather different!
This is one of two I bought from Norma J Burnell's range. These are very 'different', and just seemed to me to cry out for bold, bright colours. I've teamed it with a rather bolder Kate Knight paper, and again coloured with Promarkers. This time, I've added a Sizzix die cut in the background. It's actually too big for the 6 by 6 card I made, so I cut a chunk out of the middle of it! It matches up pretty well, but I decided to finish with some pretty ribbon so no one can see the join!
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Milk Coffee where they want us to 'use those bright colours',
Sassy Studios where the theme is 'so bright gotta wear shades',
Crafty Ribbons where anything goes (with some ribbon),
Inky Impressions where anything goes,
Inklings and Yarns where anything goes,
