who are offering the winner three Promarkers! And you can never have too many of those ...
This week, I chose an image from Hope Jacare called Holly which is available from the Stitchy Bear shop - see the sidebar for a link.
I cut the image and mat using my Nestibilities, and coloured with Promarkers. The fancy die cut is from Sizzix. I recently treated myself to a few bits from their sale, and this was one of them. Unfortunately, it's a Sizzlits style die - which means it's got foam backing. Despite having a Sizzix die cutter (Big Shot Pro), I don't have a lot of luck with these dies, and this was no exception. It took multiple passes to cut, and the problem with that foam backing is that it seems to stretch the card, so it's not possible to get the cut lines lined up exactly for multiple passes. I've found something that works, but it's more effort than it should be. I finished with some sticky gems that I coloured with Promarkers, and the paper is from my collection - a pad I bought a couple of years ago, I think.
I hope you can join us this week.

That die must be a pain, I hate them like that but.....it does look good, so worth it in the end. The backing paper works perfectly with this design too. Hazel x
Gorgeous Josephine, a really bold card with the vivid die cut and the gems which set the digi off so perfectly :) :) :) love it. Hugs Jane xxxxx
Oh how disappointing that such a pretty die is so challenging to use but you have succeeded so well Josephine. Little Miss Holly looks gorgeous in her red frame and I love the pretty but unfussy backing paper which makes your beautiful work really stand out. Love Ingrid xx
She is so cute. I just love her skirt made from holly leaves.
