Will You Miss Us?

One of our colleagues is retiring, and I've made a card for our planning group to sign. I work in a school for children with learning difficulties, and over half of the children have a diagnosis of being on the Autistic Spectrum.

Although they're not wearing school uniform, these two Mo Manning images are perfect! Between learning delays and the need to control their environment, we see a lot of 'terrible twos' type tantrums! It's definitely one of the more challenging things we deal with at work.

I printed the combined image quite big, outlining  it and adding the sentiment in Photoshop Elements, then coloured with Promarkers. The paper is from a Pamela West CD, and I've finished the card using a Martha Stewart border die and lots of sticky gems!

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Whoopsie Daisy where they're looking for punched elements,
Pause, Dream, Enjoy where anything goes,
Through the Craftroom Door where anything goes,
I Love Promarkers where anything goes,
Stamping for the Weekend where the theme is 'Child's Play',
Lady Anne's Challenges where it's 'anything goes with a sentiment',
No Matter Which where anything goes,
Eclectic Ellapu where they want Humour,
613 Avenue Create where anything goes.

Wow Josephine, adorable. I got these stamps a couple of weeks ago and at the time had my daughter and grandson visiting. He threw a tantrum and a half on the day I was colouring in the boy digi so the card I ended up making just had to be for from him to his mummy for Mother's Day lol. Should add here, I admire greatly the job you do, I used to teach when I was in the UK, starting off in Special Needs on a one to one basis with the children in main stream who needed the extra support. Although not the Autism route generally, most of our kids it was behavioural due to the backgrounds they were coming from. I remember working with one 9 year old girl for four years who had been raped by her uncle and came from a home of heroin users - she was a hard cookie to have a relationship with. Any enough of that, love you card to bits and back. Hugs Jane xxxx
