One of the things about this time of year, is that I often go to my box of cards, only to find that there's nothing suitable there! Of course it's largely because of Christmas - but I always feel the need to make a few 'general' cards to keep things going. And, then there's the plethora of birthdays that happen in March - I need to get started on them too!
So, the image is a stamp from Animal Spirits which I stamped with brown Memento ink and coloured with Promarkers. The background papers are some you've seen before if you've been visiting this blog for a while - they're from Panda Bear and are available from Stitchy Bear Digital Stamps. (Check out my sidebar for a link.) It's a set of skies with rainbows and it's without a doubt the most useful set of background papers I've got. I altered the tone of them a little - moving them to a warmer blue to match the colours I used in the image.
The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Pan Pastel where they want birthday cards,
Craft Us Crazy where anything goes,
DRS where they want birthday cards,
Do You Stack Up where anything goes,
This time, I used a Sarah Kay image, again stamped in brown Memento and coloured with Promarkers. I cut the image and mat with my Nesties. The ribbonned die cuts are from Spellbinders, and the paper from the Papermania Capsule collection. The flowers were made using white card coloured with Promarkers and punched.
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:
The Paper Players where they want flowers,
Stamp, Scrap and Doodle where they want die cuts and punches,
Die Cutting Divas where they want die cuts.
Kaboodle Doodles where they want girlie cards.
And finally for tonight, a Ching Chou Kuik image, again stamped in Memento ink (this time black) and coloured with Promarkers. More paper from Papermania, and another die cut border courtesy of Spellbinders. I've added some gems to the die cut - those blue square gems were a magazine gift literally years ago, but they work really well with the square holes in this die cut. (I just wish I had more of them!) And again, the flowers were made using punched white card coloured with Promarkers.
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Ditzy Craftymess where anything goes,
Hotshot Crafts where they want flowers,
Pixie Dust Studio where they want 'girlie girls',
Whimsy Stamps where they want us to make our own flowers,
